Razor Top Runner Tarp System
The Razor Top Runner Tarp System is an electric tarp system for semi-trailers and B-doubles with top-mounted rail systems. The tarp runs along rails mounted on top of the trailer sides, driven by an electric motor and cable system. The driver operates it from inside the cab with a wireless remote — no climbing on the trailer, no manual rolling.
The system uses a 12V DC drive motor with gearbox, cable tensioner assembly, reaction wheel, and curved/flat rail sections. The drive unit mounts at one end of the trailer, and the tarp attaches to the cable system. When activated, the motor winds the cable, pulling the tarp along the top rails from one end to the other. Typical operation time is 30-60 seconds depending on trailer length.
Designed for flat-top trailers, curtainsiders, and container chassis where a top-rail tarp solution is needed. Common applications: general freight, building materials, palletised goods, containerised loads. The Top Runner is popular on B-doubles and semi-trailers where rollover tarps aren't suitable due to load type or trailer design.
